My client a faith based not for profit organisation would like to recruit a Director of Communications. This is an exciting time in the life of the organisation, with a programme of change and updating of their message that has begun and needs to continue gaining momentum. Communications - through all media - has a key role to play in this.
You maybe working in the private or not for profit sector where you can demonstrate your skills in media and communications. You must be used to strategic thinking but also very effective at managing the day to day under pressure and in response to competing demands. You need to be a team player, attentive to the views of others and sensitive to issues of equality, diversity and inclusion.
You need also to be able to speak for and with the organisation That means having an understanding of the context for Christian life and mission in today's society. You do not need a theological or faith based background but an ability to grasp the messages to be delivered will be essential.
