General Counsel & Co Sec - Payments & Financial Services
An experienced GC is required with experience of supporting businesses through significant change and transformation whilst also supporting BAU.
This is an opportunity for a skilled GC who would place partnering with the leadership teams as one of their key skills, alongside being comfortable taking the lead on complex supplier negotiations and propositions. The ability to manage relationships with internal and external stakeholders, whilst being able to give decisive and pragmatic advice is a must for this role.
The breadth of legal matters you will be advising on in this role will range from privacy to employment issues to matters such as competition law and Tax and IR35 issues.
You will need to be a collaborative leader of 10 to 15+ PQE, who has knowledge of payments (PSD2) and financial regulations but more so is able to bring a commercial law skills set to the role and be adept at leading ESP, outsourcing and technology growth contracts. You will inspire the legal team to be a pro-active and decisive team within the business.
Experience gained within Payments and/or Retail Banking would be preferable for this role, however strong financial services experience would also be considered.
