Head of Global Brand Protection
Interim post for 7 months (Maternity Cover)
This leading FMCG company is seeking an interim Head of Global Brand Protection to cover a maternity leave.
Working s part of a wider legal and brand protection team globally you will provide strategic direction, drive global standards and work towards a holistic approach to brand protection across the business.
This will be an opportunity to work across BAU as well as drive change and promote performance.
This role leads the Global Brand Protection team, as part of the Global Legal Function, reporting to General Counsel Brand Protection, Data Privacy, HR, Global Legal Operations.
- Providing strategic direction, global standards, support tools, capability training and performance monitoring of the market brand protection teams, to ensure they have the ability to deliver brand protection to the required standards in their markets, and to achieve a holistic approach to brand protection across the business.
- Taking a direct lead in managing brand protection matters which have a multi-market/multi-region element, managing strategic investigations into organised crime syndicates which impact the wider business.
- Leading the necessary cross-functional approach to brand protection, coordinating, engaging, influencing and engendering support from all relevant functions, including Technical, Marketing and Brand Teams, and leading the Global Brand Protection Working Group and global communications of the brand protection agenda to relevant stakeholders.
- Establishing strong relationships with market teams and providing functional leadership to facilitate the sharing of best practice, building of capabilities and communication of trends and analysis of activities, and ensuring there is the opportunity to give input at the right stage on brand protection matters in the markets requiring more senior judgement and experience
You will be a Brand Protection professional with extensive experience of anti-counterfeitingcounterfeiting activities and have worked within FMCG or a similar fast paced industry. You will be able to demonstrate exceptional leadership qualities and experience of influencing stakeholders across multiple jurisdictions
